It is not only a claim, to say ‘I love Allah.’ It is not finished. You must also ask if Allah loves you or not, and what is the sign? Allah Almighty is saying; Say, O my Beloved Servant, Most Distinguished Prophetﷺ, tell them if you are true in (your claim) that you love Allah, then follow me – ‘fa-ttabi’ūnī’ – and Allah Almighty will love you. (3:31)
If anyone leaves out Sayyidina Muḥammadﷺ Habib-ullah, and takes a way according to his mind, his desires, no love from Allah to him. That is the condition. You must follow the Beloved of Allahﷺ, and Allah has promised, then He will love you. That is a mirror to you, look and see; don’t be in doubt if Allah loves you or not – look in the mirror and you will know. Even the Sahaba (may Allah be pleased with them) were so careful to step where the Prophetﷺ stepped! How should other actions be for them? Every action, every movement that is opposite to Prophet’sﷺ actions is thrown away. ‘Man ḥamala ’alaynā as-silāḥ fa-laysa minnā.’ (He who carries a weapon against us is not one of us.) That is a ḥadīth from the Prophetﷺ. Shooting is not only by bullets and arrows; anything that you are pulling against the Prophet’sﷺ advice means you are fighting against him.

In the bounty of God. And in His Mercy, in that“LET THEM REJOICE”: that is better than the (wealth) they hoard [Surah Yunus, 10:58]
Some might think in their wildest of imaginations that birth and arrival of Prophet (SalAllaho alaihi wa Aalihi wasalam) is not a mercy, some even falsely limit the Mercies of Allah by saying that mercy mentioned here does not refer to Prophet Muhammad (SalAllaho alaihi wa Aalihi wasalam) thus we should not rejoice, so in reply to such people the best answer is found in Tafsir of Qur’an through Qur’an itself.
Holy Qur’an states at another place:
We have not sent you but as a “Mercy to the worlds” [Surah al-Anbiya, 21:107]
May Allah allow us to do enough in this month of Rabi-Al-Awwal such that our good deeds erase our bad deeds.

Black day, the day of mourning for the children who lost their lives to uncultured swines (the Taliban) who kill in the name of the religion, a religion which they’ve distorted and made their own. The death toll has risen to 149 children, all between the ages of 9-16, the youngest being 2. More than a hundred wounded. The operation is officially over now, but its impact on humanity will be unending.
One of the 145 students who were martyred in the school, uploaded a cover photo some days back which had quoted, “We are a nation of beauty and great grief, our smiles are more powerful than your guns”. As awful as Sydney was, and as terrible as the Canadian parliament attack was, and as horrific as the Boston Marathon bombings were, and as much as 9/11 hurts to this day, the slaughtering of school children in Pakistan happened too. Its just one more attack on Muslims in the name of extremist indoctrination disguised as religion. One little girl survived by laying among dead bodies and trying not to scream. A teenage survivor played dead after been shot in both legs by insurgents hunting down students to kill. Instructors tried to barricade classrooms as terrorists roamed the halls with guns and suicide vests. A teacher was doused in gasoline and set on fire in front of students. Children ran for their lives and were shot dead as they tried to escape. 20 years of parenthood were snatched away from the parents in just 20 minutes. Astagfirullah.
Pakistan has seen many dark days in its short history, today will be remembered as the darkest. Parents waited hours only to have their children return to them in wooden boxes. Parents crowded around lists just to check if their children were dead or alive. The kids ran to escape, but many did not make it. I read one child, around 9 years old, told his mother on the phone that he was fine and safe when he in fact was shot in the chest.
REACTIONS TO PESHAWAR ATTACK
Of all God’s creatures, it is children who warrant the greatest protection due to their helplessness and innocence, which is why the punishment for violating them is and ought to be severe. The Prophet, God bless and grant him peace, loved children and honored them on many occasions, such as calling them by honorific epithets or patting young ones on the head, leaving the scent of musk upon them for the rest of the day. In fact, the Prophet, God bless and grant him peace, visited one child whose pet had died in order to offer condolences and cheer him up.
The rights and protection that God has given humans is to be upheld and honored by each of us. If anyone betrays that trust, then, in this world, the government has the authority and right to redress the wrong. In redressing the wrong, wholeness is restored, and healing can take place. If this does not occur, remember: There is a day when the Divine Redresser will right every wrong, heal every wound, fulfill every vow, and remove for all eternity the scars of this world that were unjustly inflicted by those who betrayed God’s protection.

For what? Who could do this? Are these people human?
If the Taliban is really behind this, I have no doubt in my mind that this one incident will be the end of this group, once and for all.
Those who defended other incidents in the past, all in the name of fighting drone attacks and American aggression and your long, never ending list: I’d really like to see you defend this one. Actually, scratch that, if you feel this act is defensible I don’t think this world is a place for you to live in, and I don’t want to hear anything from you or about you.
As the father of four children, my sympathies and duas go out to ALL of the families of that school.
For how long will we tolerate and defend fanaticism? Do people not see that when you open this door of allowing innocent deaths, the logical conclusion will be such an attack?! Do ISIS supporters and al-Qaeda types not understand that their rhetoric inevitably causes their own followers to become deaf, dumb and blind, and that this leads to such fanaticism and psychopathic bloodshed?
Who cares if the parents of these children were Pakistani military and that it was a school for the children of the army – WHAT HAVE THESE CHILDREN DONE TO DESERVE SUCH A CRUEL AND DASTARDLY DEATH?? Nothing, I repeat, NOTHING, justifies this massacre.

Our Religion is beautiful. And when someone tries to make it look ugly, they only uglify themselves and their ideologies. Islam is a religion of mercy and does not permit terrorism. And If anyone still thinks and believes this is because of religion, and not a political struggle with the barest patina of religion as justification for this war, they need to open their minds and see the truth and visit Peshawar to attend the funerals of the children. They have only to hear what their parents will say, the customary response to the news of a Muslim’s death: to Him we belong and to Him we will return. The children who were killed are of the same religion as the attackers claim to follow. This is not about religion: this is about power, intimidation and revenge.
This surely should be enough to wake up the whole nation, rather the whole Ummah and stand against extremism. The Pakistan army should go after all these terrorists and their sympathizers, abetters, and facilitators. Until all of them are captured or killed, this operation should not end. These terrorists have attacked funerals and mosques, for them there is no limit. They are operating outside human values and ought to be dealt the same way.

Every year, when the month of Rabi al-Awwal comes around once again, bringing in its train the night of the twelfth, it seems to us as if the whole world is perfumed by the memory of the birth of the Final Messenger, may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him. Countless millions of Muslims in every corner of the earth fix their thoughts on his birth, by re-reading his biography and learning from his unique values and qualities. For he was the Unlettered Prophet, in whose human essence were combined and perfected every noble and generous trait of character: the best of all role-models, of whom Allah Himself has said: “Truly, yours is a tremendous character.”
The love of the holy Prophet (SalAllahu Alaihi Wa Aalihi Wassallam), and the joy which his birth and career have brought to us, bring every imaginable kind of good thing to a true Muslim. Even an unbeliever can benefit from his birth. The idolator Abu Lahab, one of the greatest enemies of Islam, was pleased when one Monday he heard the news that Muhammad (SalAllahu Alaihi Wa Aalihi Wassallam) had been born: and he freed his slave-girl Thuwaiba who had brought him the news. We are told that because of this deed his punishment in the grave is reduced every Monday. This hadith, which is narrated by Imam Bukhari (rah), inspired Imam Shams al-Din al-Dimashqi (rah) to write:
If an unbeliever, condemned by the Quran to eternal pain,
Can be relieved every Monday through his joy at Ahmad,
Then what must a true servant of God hope to gain,
When with the truth of Tawhid he felt joy at Ahmad?
Without the slightest doubt, the best way of commemorating this most noble of all birthdays is in reciting the story of his life, to adults and to children, in order to accustom them to the love of Allah’s great Messenger (may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him) and to recite as much salawat (durood) as possible on this blessed day .
My own mother, may Allah show her soul mercy, used to put us in the habit of sitting down and reading the sira books. Even though she herself could neither read nor write, she knew much of the sira by heart, and would constantly encourage her family and neighbours to become intimately familiar with the beautiful life-story of the Prophet (may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him).
No-one could deny that gathering to listen to the career of the Master of the Messengers is one of the most desirable of all activities. It can yield a whole range of blessings and benefits, as long as it takes place in a proper Islamic atmosphere without any reprehensible innovations or distortions. Needless to say, the life of the Prophet, upon him be blessings and peace, can and should be commemorated at any time of the year. Nonetheless, when he is remembered in Rabi al-Awwal, people’s attachment to him grows even stronger, for the simple reason that it was in this month that he was born. At this special time, when the impulse to gather for this purpose is at its strongest, one feels an overwhelming sense of connection between our time and his, as the present reminds us of the past, and helps us to bring to mind and relate to events which took place many centuries ago.
The Prophet himself, may Allah bless him, used to commemorate his birthday, thanking his Lord for His great kindness to him. He would express this commemoration by fasting, as we are told in a hadith narrated by Imam Muslim. The methods by which his birthday may be celebrated vary widely, but the objective is the same: whether in fasting, giving food to the poor, gathering for the remembrance (dhikr) of Allah or calling down blessings upon His Messenger, and listening to the story of his virtues and mighty achievements.
Allah has commanded us Muslims to rejoice at the things by which His grace and mercy comes to us. In the Holy Quran we read: ‘Say, by Allah’s grace and mercy; and let them be made joyful by this!’ (Yunus, 58.) And we have never received any mercy greater than the Prophet himself: ‘We sent you only as a mercy to the worlds.’ (Anbiya, 107.)
Q: ‘Why was he born during that month, rather than during Ramadan, the month when the Quran was revealed, or in one of the Sacred Months, which Allah rendered sacred on the day He created the heavens and the earth? Or even in Sha’ban, the month which contains the blessed Night of Mid-Sha’ban?’
Firstly, in a hadith we read that Allah created the tree on Monday. This can be taken to mean that the creation of sustenance, fruits and all the good things of the earth upon which the children of Adam depend for their life, and which give them medicines to heal them, and whose very sight brings them rest and joy: all this was decreed to come into existence on this day.
The Prophet, upon him be peace and blessings, also came into the world on this day, as a cause of rapture and joy. He is associated with it in other ways also: according to Ibn Abbas (radiAllahu anhu) , ‘Allah’s Messenger was born on a Monday, became a Prophet on a Monday, and raised up the Black Stone on a Monday.’
Secondly, we should recall that the Arabic name of the month of his birth signifies the season of spring: the time of rebirth and renewal. Now, the Birthday of the Prophet, may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him , resembles this closely. His birth in the month of this name gives good tidings of the greatest forms of sustenance and protection for the believers. It proclaims Allah’s mercy, the greatest of which is His granting guidance, through His messenger, to the Straight Path.’
Thirdly, Shaykh Muhammad Yusuf al-Salihi writes: ‘Can you not see that the season of spring is both the most beautiful and moderate of seasons, free of both bitter cold or stifling heat, or exaggerated length in its days or nights? It is the time of year when people feel most refreshed and whole, so that they can enjoy the pleasure of prayer at night, and of fasting during the day. All of this symbolises and resembles the moderation and healthfulness of the Sunna and the Law which the Prophet brought.’
Fourthly, It would seem to be the case that the Wise God sometimes wishes to ennoble times through events, not events through times. A time otherwise left vacant can thereby be filled with a special quality from which people can derive benefit.
Obviously, if the Blessed Prophet, may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him, had been born in Ramadan, or one of the Sacred Months, or in the holy month of Sha’ban, some people might think that it was he himself who was being ennobled by these times because of their great merit. But it was Allah’s wise decree that he be born in Rabi al-Awwal in order to ennoble that month, and to display Allah’s care and good providence for His Prophet, may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him. As an Arab poet has written:
Allah gave good news of you to the heavens, and they were adorned,
The soil of the earth turned to musk when it heard of you.
A day whose dawn is part of history,
And whose evening is made luminous by Muhammad!
To sum up what I have been trying to say: celebrations of the Mawlid are nothing other than a revival of the memory of the Chosen One. When this is done in the context of an Islamically-learned circle of knowledge and remembrance, in which the manners of our Islamic religion are observed, it is something which the great scholars approve of strongly. It provides a superb opportunity to link us to the Sira, to his miracles and beautiful character, and to the magnification of the Prophet whom Allah has commanded us to follow and emulate in all things.
Only by knowing his virtues and good qualities can we have perfect faith in him.
Only by listening to his life-story will we acquire a true and deep love for him.
As Allah Himself has stated: ‘We tell you the stories of the Messengers, in order to make firm your heart.’
O Allah, make firm our hearts in Islam! Make our faith true and deep, and bestow upon us real love for Your Prophet!

Our religion is a religion of LOVE in the first place. Love of Allah Ta’ala, Love of Rasoolulllah, SallAllahu Ta’ala alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam, love of doing good, love of people, love of parents, love of children, love of neighbors, etc….
A good Muslim is a good human being in the first place. In summary; The Beloved sent the beloved out of love to teach love with love for the sake of love. And love does not have limits, for true love collapses all limits, not establishes them.
